Academic Year 2025–2026
The CLICI – Center for Italian Language and Culture of University of Rome Tor Vergata offers Italian Language and Culture Courses for foreign students enrolled at the University as well as for external participants.
📅 Course Schedule
• 1st semester: October 13 – December 19, 2025
• 2nd semester: mid-March – May 2026
🧑🏫 Course Delivery Methods
Courses are held in person and/or online, depending on classroom availability and the number of enrolled students.
Course structure:
• 40 hours of classroom lessons (2 lessons per week, 2 hours each, either via Zoom or in person in the classroom)
• 20 hours of asynchronous online activities
🔢 Total: 60 hours
📧 A few days before the start of the lessons, enrolled students will receive via email:
• Confirmation of course activation
• Mode of attendance (online/in person)
• Days and times of the lessons

🔍 Placement Test:

Absolute Beginners | No knowledge of the Italian language | Register on Delphi by selecting “Absolute beginner” (without taking the placement test). You will be automatically assigned to the “Absolute Beginners” class with no possibility of level change. |

Placement Test Details
Online written test: takes place on the CLICI Moodle platform
- Instructions will be sent via email at least 3 days before the oral test.
- The test must be completed at least 2 days before the oral test.

During registration, students must select one of the following non-changeable dates by September 8, 2025:

Important: You will not be allowed to take the online oral test unless the written test has been completed at least two days before. We recommend selecting your oral test date as soon as possible, as each session has a maximum capacity of 36 students.
💳 Payment for External Participants
After the first two weeks from the start of the courses, external participants must:
- Access the Delphi platform
- Download the PagoPA payment slip
- Complete the payment of the registration fee
🔔 Payment is required in order to continue attending the course and to receive the final certificate.
📚 Final Exam and Certificates
To obtain the certificate of attendance or take the final exam and to obtain the certificate of merit, the following requirements must be met:
🎓 Requirements and Certificate of Attendance
Students must:
• Attend at least 70% of online/in-class lessons
• Complete at least 70% of asynchronous activities
✅ Those who meet both requirements will be able to:
• Download the certificate of attendance directly from the Delphi platform.
🏅 Exam and Certificate of Merit
Students who attend at least 70% of online/in-class lessons and complete at least 70% of asynchronous activities will be eligible to take the final exam, which consists of:
o Written exam (in person, during the last lesson of each course)
o Oral exam (online, from January 13 to 15, 2026)
Students who pass the final exam can download the Certificate of Merit directly from the Delphi platform.
ECTS
Italian language courses erogated by CLICI are extracurricular, thus they do not include the automatic acquisition of credits. It will be the responsibility of each student’s Home University or Course Coordinator/Director to decide whether to award credits against the certificate issued by CLICI.
